Local Missions

162nd/Burnside
Contact: Dave Schrenk
This is a ministry to listen to our neighbors because we care. Clear Creek has been called by God to reach out and show that we love people, even when the rest of the world hates them. It is an opportunity to be a light in a dark place that needs the Spirit to breathe new life into it. This ministry will pull you out of your comfort zone and reveal just how much most of us are out of touch with the low socio-economic class. Every Friday at 6:30pm on the corner of 162nd and Burnside a group of people come together to hand out chili, lemonade, hot chocolate, and cookies.
NEED: We always need passionate servants who want to listen and love the people. We need people who will donate and prepare chili, hot chocolate, lemonade We need a team of 4-5 people who would commit to organizing this ministry.
School Relations Team
Contact: Milan Homola
This is a group of people who are dedicated to seeing Clear Creek reach out and into our local schools. They help with programs that tutor kids and assist teachers; they desire to support families that schools recognize as being in need. They invite the church to come out and help with clean up days and other events to show the schools we care. The team is made up of people who have served in schools or worked in schools for years.
NEED: We need volunteers for a N.Gresham Elementary tutoring program We need people who will help carry out clean up days and other organizational tasks.
Dental Van
Contact: Milan Homola
Clear Creek has joined hands with Medical Teams International to support a free dental van clinic twice a month in the Rockwood area. Members of Clear Creek come out to help register guests and fill out paperwork. The team sets up appointments and spends time with the guests who come for assistance. It is a great opportunity to serve people who are in need and build great relationships.
NEED: We need servants who will commit to coming twice a month to do intake We need 1-2 people who would handle the organization of this ministry
Huntington Terrace
Contact: John Dezellem
This ministry is of great significance because it ministers to the generation that has most often been left out. Huntington Terrace is an assisted living complex where a team of dedicated servants go to lead a Sunday worship time for the residents. This ministry is such an encouragement to the residents and shows them the love of God in a consistent way.
NEED: We need servants who will join the rotation of people who go and teach a short lesson and help with worship.
