Strong Members & Families
The Vision Story
As I enter the doors of the church on Sunday morning and look at the people who call Clear Creek home, whether individuals or marriages or entire families, I see a group of people who love and care for each other and who try to reflect Jesus in their thoughts, words and actions. These people are not perfect, but they are intentional about their pursuit of Jesus; they purposefully look for opportunities to experience and share Jesus with each other. Simply by being around these people, my faith is strengthened and I am challenged to go deeper in my walk with Christ.
As I observe the families, I see marriages where husbands and wives are trained and equipped to love and support each other. I see parents who are trained and equipped to teach their children how to live their lives as a testimony to the glory of Christ by example. Many of these families are not without problems and challenges, but there is within the challenges the unswerving commitment to love each other and to work through the problems.
Clear Creek is a place where people of all ages pursue Christ, whether married or single, and in doing so find freedom from the various roadblocks in their lives that prevent them from experiencing joy and happiness. Roadblocks such as financial difficulties, addictions of one kind or another, and relational challenges are acknowledged to each other; compassion, grace and unconditional acceptance are offered and received as burdens are shared with each other. The power of God flows from these people and those roadblocks begin to disappear.
As I meet with my Community Group each week I am drawn into worship by the simple, yet profound faith of my fellow group members. As we open the Scriptures, as we discuss the passage, as we pray for each other, as we laugh and enjoy each other’s presence, I am encouraged and uplifted. As my children become more involved with the children and youth programs, they are likewise encouraged, uplifted and challenged to live their lives for the glory and honor of Christ. As whole families engage in serving, both within the body of Clear Creek as well as the community, relationships within the family are strengthened as well as relationships among each other. More and more, we are becoming a community of people who do life together, in fun activities as well as in serious times. We are a people who love Jesus and desire to follow Him in every aspect of our lives.
