Youth Ministry

Often our students get offended when we call our group "Youth Group". When I ask them why, they respond "Because we're not a youth group we're a family." Often today, youth ministry is little more than glorified babysitting. At Clear Creek, our youth ministry is driven by one thing: Discipleship.

Why Discipleship?

Statistically, the typical approach to youth group has been failing. We know that somewhere between 60-80% of teens who are active in churches stop going altogether in their twenties. That's a problem. Jesus didn't call us to fill seats, Jesus called us to make disciples. That means sharing life together, carrying one another's burdens, knowing God deeply through His Word, and living lives sanctified by grace through confession and repentance. You start to realize words like "group" start to fall short, and have no choice but feel like when you're here, you're with family.
